I was supposed to take a test I have anticipated taking for 2 months today and instead of sending an email with time’s notice, this testing center site decided to not let anyone taking their test today know that they would be closing their site. No email, no call, no warning on the global Prometric site, and not even a piece of paper taped to the door. Had they let people know ahead of time, then rescheduling could have been done in a timely manner. They have inconvenienced 20+ others that planned on taking their tests and took time off from work that they can’t get back just for them to wait over an hour & find out from Prometric corporate that this site had closed “last minute”. Their reasoning they told us for closing was due to impacted weather (hurricane Ian) which I would have partially understood if they had let the people they’re “trying to protect” know about the closure. That’s inexcusable and inconsiderate beyond belief. They should be ashamed of the time, money, & toll on mental health (anticipating, waiting, rescheduling for much later dates than desired, having to reschedule with the corporate of whomever we’re taking the test through, potentially not considering you still for a position if they have to wait A MONTH) that they’ve wasted.

I recently just took the praxis reading test at the Greenville SC location. The experience I had upon arriving was horrific. Luckily, another worker was able to make my experience better. Regina was great. Jeannie gave many reasons to be unsatisfied with my experience. The first one was coming over the walkie talkie to Regina to tell her in front of everybody to not give me a locker until I had a mask. She was extremely rude. The second issue was as I am in the middle of taking my test, she comes to interrupt me and tell me to completely cover my face with my mask. My mask was all the way on my face except barely off my nose due to my glasses fogging up as I was reading my passages on my test. The next issue was I started getting hot. I had a flannel jacket on. They told me if I was to get hot to just hang my jacket on the back of the chair. That is exactly what I did. My test was timed so I did not take a long time to make it look pretty on the back of my chair. Immediately, she comes in to interrupt me and show me how to correctly hang my jacket on my chair. The point of this email is to explain that she came to interrupt me over senseless things as I am in the middle of taking my test. If she is doing this to me when I do not even know her, she is probably doing this to others as they are taking an important test. We were already metal detected before going into the testing room. So it is not like I had things in my jacket to cheat off of. I just wanted to express the terrible experience I had with her. Regina was great though.

As a traveler I have an easier time getting in and out of the country than taking a test. The level of security to take a test is very unnecessary. You have to lock up your valuables, except ID, they wand you, empty your pockets, pull up your pants, spin your glasses around and pull off your mask. Then you have to keep your ID on the testing table.

Test scheduled at 8am… I arrived at 7:45….it’s 8:50 and I am still sitting in the lobby. This place is an effing nightmare.

Was forced to wear a mask that I had to provide because they wouldn’t provide one. Was not informed until I was at facility. I am also fully vaccinated as well. Before taking my test they tell me to take of my mask I had to go buy down the street so they could Id me and check it in o make sure I’m not cheating. What good is having the mask if I have to take it off anyways.
