I was supposed to take a test I have anticipated taking for 2 months today and instead of sending an email with time’s notice, this testing center site decided to not let anyone taking their test today know that they would be closing their site. No email, no call, no warning on the global Prometric site, and not even a piece of paper taped to the door. Had they let people know ahead of time, then rescheduling could have been done in a timely manner. They have inconvenienced 20+ others that planned on taking their tests and took time off from work that they can’t get back just for them to wait over an hour & find out from Prometric corporate that this site had closed “last minute”. Their reasoning they told us for closing was due to impacted weather (hurricane Ian) which I would have partially understood if they had let the people they’re “trying to protect” know about the closure. That’s inexcusable and inconsiderate beyond belief. They should be ashamed of the time, money, & toll on mental health (anticipating, waiting, rescheduling for much later dates than desired, having to reschedule with the corporate of whomever we’re taking the test through, potentially not considering you still for a position if they have to wait A MONTH) that they’ve wasted.
