Horrible experience. They apparently closed the night before I was to take an exam due to snow. However, they failed to contact all of the testers of this change.
I waited in line with about 30 others outside the locked testing center door for over an hour. We knocked on the door and called the office. Eventually, we called other testing locations nearby to see what was going on. The manager told me over the phone that the site we were at was closed, but they incorrectly processed this change so none of the test takers were notified. I had to tell everyone in line to go home.
Additionally, it was hardly snowing at all and the roads were completely cleared. There was no traffic and the snow was falling lightly off and on. A staff member or manager could've (and should have) easily drove to the center to check us in and let us take our exams. This was an error on Prometric, so someone should have drove to the center to fix it.
Rescheduling the exams will be a pain. Some people in line came from very far away to take their tests. I will have to schedule my test more than a month away due to not having any openings at testing centers in the state and surrounding areas. This throws off my licensure and causes a huge dilemma in my professional life that Prometric caused.
Overall, this mistake was handled very poorly by Prometric staff. I am extremely upset and disappointed. I wasted my entire week studying, waking up early to eat a hardy breakfast, and a long drive to and from the testing center. Not to mention the stress this experienced cause me and everyone else in line.
